Q. I have what appears to be a plastic sweat suit that was ordered from Sears back in the 1960s. Can you tell me what this is, and why someone would want a plastic sweat suit?
A. Page 868 of the fall 1964 Chicago edition catalog advertised a vinyl exercise suit. According to the accompanying text, it was intended to help you "shed pounds of excess moisture in a single workout."
